Participants will want to pack a towel and a change of clothes for the Run Amuck, beginning at 8:00 a.m., on June 21, 2008. The 5K course will feature a variety of obstacles including hills, a tire dash, and plenty of opportunity for runners to get dirty!

Kids Run Amuck
Younger runners can get in on the race day excitement by participating in the Kids Run Amuck, beginning at 8:15 a.m. Designed specifically for children ages 5-12, the Kids Run Amuck offers an inflatable obstacle course, a tire dash, a hay bale challenge, a faux barb-wire crawl and a water challenge along a 100 yard course. Parents will need to remain with their children prior to and immediately following the race.

Registration
Registration for Run Amuck is now closed. The $30 registration fee includes all race materials including the official event shirt, finisher coin, courtesy of Marine Federal Credit Union, bib number, hospitality and more. Pre-registration is required. Run Amuck is open to all participants ages 10 and up.
Course
The ChampionChip timed course begins and ends in the newly renovated Butler Stadium. The strenuous 3.1 mile race begins with a wave start and takes runners off-road onto the Stadium and Fire Break trails. Participants must navigate several obstacles including hay bales, a tire challenge, a faux barbwire crawl, cargo nets and water hoses. The race culminates with a 1.5 foot deep mud pit. Safety Note: The Run Amuck course is a physically demanding event. Runners will be required to follow safety guidelines presented along the course. Runners are also encouraged to take necessary precautions with sunscreen and bug spray.
Packet Pick-up
Runners will be required to pick up their bib, chip and other race materials prior to the event. Click here confirm your registration and receive your bib number. Be sure to print the confirmation page and bring it with you to Packet Pick-up, to be held at the Marine Corps Marathon building on Thursday, June 19 and Friday, June 20 between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Skin Appeal Day Spa will be providing free massages at Packet Pick-up on Thursday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The MCM building is located at 3399 Russell Road, aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico in Quantico, VA.
Runners are encouraged to attend Packet Pick-up prior to race day. However, packets will be available race morning at Butler Stadium from 6:00 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.

Awards
Awards are based on chip time and will be presented to the top individual male finisher, top individual female finisher, top masters male finisher and top female masters finisher.
Age group awards will be distributed to the male and female winners of each age group. Age groups are divided as follows: 10-14, 14-19, 20-24, 24-19, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and older.
Please note that awards will be announced after the last wave has completed the course.
