Semper Fred 5K
Runners joined Miles and Molly, the MCM Mascots, as well as Marines and the Fredericksburg community at the Semper Fred 5K, presented by The Free Lance Star. The 3.1 mile run/walk was open to families and fitness enthusiasts of all ages. The 2011 Semper Fred 5K will be held on May 15, 2011.

Course
Beginning just minutes after the Marine Corps Historic Half, participants will enjoy the 3.1 mile course and are invited to take in the amusement and excitement of race day activities, including the Healthy Lifestyle Expo.
Semper Fred starts and finishes near the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center on Carl D. Silver Parkway. Download the course map.
Timing System
The Historic Half will utilize corresponding timing technologies known as B-Tags and D-tags. Runners will find their B-tag timing device embedded in the reverse side of the official bib. No action is required of a runner beyond wearing the assigned bib. The D-tag is a removable adhesive strip that must be looped through the runner's shoelaces. Runners will receive bibs at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo on May 14-15 at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center.
Packet Pick-up
All participants in the Semper Fred 5K will be required to attend Packet Pick-up, located within the Healthy Lifestyle Expo, to retrieve their bib, B-tag, t-shirt and race materials.
