Healthy Lifestyle Expo
The Healthy Lifestyle Expo will be held in conjunction with the Marine Corps Historic Half during the days prior to the race. Located at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center, this FREE event is open to the public and will showcase health, fitness, food and exercise through featured vendors such as Chick Fil A, New Balance, Geico, Camille's Sidewalk Cafe and Jelly Belly Sport Beans. Mary Washington Healthcare will present Runnin' Down A Dream. Your Path to Better Health-a booth featuring information about illness and injury prevention with a blood pressure machine, carseat inspection, hula hoops, Wii fit and goodie bags.
Packet Pick-up
All participants in the Historic Half and Semper Fred are required to attend Packet Pick-up, located within the Healthy Lifestyle Expo, to retrieve their eco-friendly, wildflower seeded bib with timing device, technical competitor shirt and race program from the Free Lance-Star. Runners will need their E-confirmation card and a photo ID.
The Historic Half will utilize redundant timing technologies of the B-tag and D-tag. The new B-tag will be affixed to the reverse side of the bib and requires no action from runners. The D-tag is a removable adhesive strip to be looped through the runner's shoelaces.
Runners are highly encouraged to pick up their own race packet, to verify information and avoid any challenges on race day. If picking up packets for another runner, please have the Packet Release Form filled out, their e-confirmation card and your photo ID.
Packet Pick-up is not available on race morning.
Historic Half Opening Ceremony
A special ribbon cutting ceremony will officially open the Healthy Lifestyle Expo on Friday, May 14 beginning at 3:30 p.m. The first five half marathon or Semper Fred 5K registered runners in line at that time will be invited to participate in the Historic Half Bib Grab featuring a grand prize package including:
• A year of Marine Corps Marathon-organized events with free entries to Crossroads 17.75K on June 12, Run Amuck on August 14, MCM10K on October 31 and Turkey Trot on November 20
• Platinum Season Pass to Celebrate Virginia Live concert series in Fredericksburg including Gold Circle Seating
• Free VIP parking, Admission to Exclusive VIP Garden with refreshments for all 12 concerts
• Free massage from Massage Envy
• Six-month family membership to Rappahannock Area YMCA
• Free download of all runner's images taken during races by MarathonFoto
