The Oscar Mike Award

 Jessica Cash_Oscar Mike
On May 14, 2010, local morning radio host Jessica Cash received the inaugural Oscar Mike Award as part of the Marine Corps Historic Half opening ceremonies.  The award will be presented annually to recognize an individual for outstanding support of the Marine Corps Historic Half, the sport of running and the local community.  The Oscar Mike name derives from the military phonetic alphabet and translate to "On the Move."

Cash has run nine marathon including seven Marine Corps Marathons dating back to 1996.  For the past three years, Cash has supported the Historic Half marathon on her morning radio show and has joined the WFLS Historic Half team to run and raise funds for TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors).  This year Cash finished the 13.1 mile run in 2:07:08.
